Rivers made the right decision about voting quality over sentiments – El-rufai
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has praised the people of Rivers State for deciding in favor of the Duly elected president, Bola Tinubu.
El-Rufai claimed that by supporting Tinubu in the recently concluded presidential election, the people of Rivers State made the right decision.
He spoke at the Thursday commissioning of the Eneka-Igbo Etche Link Road in Rivers State’s Obio-Akpo Local Government Area.
The governor also thanked Nyesom Wike, his counterpart in Rivers State, for his part in Tinubu’s victory.
He said Wike ought to be recognized for supporting power turn to the South notwithstanding being in an alternate ideological group.
El-Rufai claims that Rivers State residents chose to vote “quality over political sentiments.”
He stated, ” I’d like to express my gratitude to you and the good people of Rivers State for voting for Bola Tinubu, on behalf of our party and presidential candidate.
The PDP has failed to secure 25 percent of the vote in Rivers State for the first time since the beginning of the Fourth Republic in 1999. It demonstrates that Rivers State residents are able to distinguish themselves, that they know when to vote for quality, and that they chose quality over political sentiments. Governor Wike, we want to express our gratitude for providing that leadership.
“I am here to extend our hand of fellowship to Governor Nyesom Wike and the people of Rivers State so that we can continue to work together as brothers and sisters to make Nigeria a better place for everyone, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, tribe, color, or creed,” I said. “I am here to make Nigeria a better place for everyone.”
