Anita Ofili, who was arrested on March 26 for allegedly murdering her friend Glory Okon in her apartment in the Ajah neighborhood of Lagos, has revealed that she waited ten years for her pound of flesh.
She went on to say that the deceased took her boyfriend about ten years ago, so she committed the crime.
At 1.20 p.m. on the final Sunday, Ofili’s one-room self-contained apartment yelled for assistance, alerting building occupants.
Ofili reportedly stabbed Okon in the neck with a kitchen knife after they forced the door open.
Sadly, because he had lost so much blood, the victim, who was rushed to the General Hospital on Lagos Island, was declared dead.
On the condition of anonymity, a building tenant informed Vanguard that “the landlord’s daughter was the one that heard the scream.”
“She peeped through the window and saw a covered individual wounding a woman. She rushed to call her father, who notified other tenants who forced the door open and discovered that the masked individual was Anita Ofili.

“The entire room was loaded up with blood. The victim was still breathing, as we discovered. To keep Ofili from running away, we had to tie her hands and legs together.
“Before the appearance of the Police, Ofili gave no indication of regret. She stated that she would report the incident to the police.
“She claimed that the lady in question was her friend and that her action was in retaliation for what her friend had done to her,” the author writes.
Vanguard learned that the suspect and the victim had been close friends for close to two decades and had attended the same tertiary institution. “Why I killed her”
Before they reconciled two weeks ago, it was said that they had a misunderstanding that tore them apart for close to ten years.
Vanguard further accumulated that the two of them got back from a party penultimate Sunday.
Ofili stated when asked why she committed the crime: I had known Glory for a long time, but when she stole my boyfriend, she betrayed our friendship.
I had planned on marrying him. Our relationship became strained as a result of her behavior, and we parted ways for ten years.
“We just accommodated fourteen days prior. You already know that I invited her to my house and the rest.
In the meantime, Vanguard was informed that the suspect’s family had distanced themselves from Ofili because of her behavior.
Yesterday, when one of them went to the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department, or SCIID, others heard him tell them, “I knew Anita was troublesome, but I never knew she could go to this extent.”
Due to her flaws in character, I stopped visiting her over a decade ago.
In the meantime, yesterday, a team of detectives went to Ofili’s apartment.
Tramadol, which is thought to have been used to narc the deceased, was found, according to police sources.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Police, confirmed the suspect’s arrest.
He stated, ” At 5.50 p.m., On March 26, a Greenville Estate resident called the station to say that he heard someone screaming from Annie Ofili’s room. He and other tenants rushed to the room, forced the door open, and found Annie on top of Glory Okon, who had come to see her.
He claimed that Ofili held Glory Okon’s throat and stabbed her in the back and neck with a kitchen knife. They then rushed Okon to the hospital, where it was determined that she had passed away.
A group of detectives arrived at the scene in response to the information. The suspect was taken into custody, the knife was found, and the body was moved to the Mainland General Hospital morgue in Yaba for an autopsy and preservation.
“The suspect has been referred to the SCIID, Yaba, for a private investigation,” the statement reads.
