A Yoruba right and militia organisation, Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) New Era, yesterday, explained why it would not support the ambition of the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, in 2023.
Secretary of the organisation, Sina Akinpelu, who spoke with The Guardian in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, said Tinubu had not been in support of the Yoruba agenda.
Akinpelu said that all the projects and programs Yoruba groups had taken to him since 1999 did not receive his support, saying Tinubu is always pro-North.
“Tinubu is always against Yoruba agenda. Most of the Yoruba projects we have taken to him since 1999, he is always against them.
“Tinubu believes in the northern agenda. He is always against any plan that is against the North. He is subject to northern oligarchy because the PDM brought him up.”
