The two policemen were shot dead as dare devil armed robbers attacked a bullion van in the Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Two other policemen were injured in the attack by the armed robbers.
An unspecified amount of money was carted away by the robbers who forced the bullion van open after the attack.
Witnesses said the incident occurred around the popular Iwo Road roundabout in the city.
The armed robbers, who had laid an ambush, opened fire on the bullion van and the escort van while heading towards Ife Road.
Efforts to confirm the incident from the Police proved abortive as calls to the police spokesperson is not going through as at the time of filling this report.
