It was another success for Ikere United FC as the team moved to the final stage of the Ekiti FA Cup for the first time in history.
Ikere United FC defeated her counterpart, EKSU Galaticus in the semi final match played today at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado to qualify for the finals.
It has been a good sports performance for the Ikere township clubside, under her technical adviser, Coach Bolarinwa Idris, as the club maintained her unbeaten run since the beginning of the competition.
The management of the club appreciates her grand patron, Kabiyesi Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado, Agirilala II, the Ogoga of Ikere-Ekiti, for the encouragements, financial support, prayers and push for success. The Kabiyesi has been supporting the club from the beginning of the competition till this stage.
Special regards also goes to the Oluomo of Ikere, former Deputy Governor, Ekiti State, elderstatesman and Chief sponsor of the club, Surv. Abiodun Aluko for believing in the future of the club, when nobody believed in the project.
The club thanks her teeming supporters both home and abroad for the selfless solidarity shown everytime at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium and also during her friendly matches at Annunciation Football Pitch.
Ikere United FC will be facing Aare FC in the final stage at a date and time to be fixed by the organizers.
