The son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Dare, is dead.
It was gathered that Pastor Dare slept but did not wake up.
Mr Dare, who Pastored one of the Abuja branch of the church, officiated on Sunday.
He was said to have asked not to be disturbed after getting home from church.
Globalgistng reported that the 42-year-old, who is the third son of the revered cleric, died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he was based with his family.
Our correspondent gathered from reliable sources in the church that the deceased, who was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, had ministered the previous day.
According to the report, he retired to his bedroom, slept but did not wake up.
Source gathered that Dare’s wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye, noticed her husband’s unusual sleeping hours and could not reach him on phone that she raised the alarm and he was discovered dead.
It was gathered that the younger Adeboye was neither sick nor on medication when the tragic incident happened.
The Head of Media and Public Relations, RCCG, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, however, confirmed the tragedy on Thursday morning.
He said, “It is true. The incident happened in Eket where he was based. I don’t have the details for now. Maybe before the end of today, we will issue a statement.”
Dare, whom his dad, Pastor Adeboye last year described as his first miracle child would have been 43 in June.
The respected clergy said God put the devil to shame 42 years ago when Dare was born.
He prayed for the celebrant and also prayed that those seeking a miracle from God will receive it.
His post on Facebook read: “Happy birthday to my son Pst Dee prayers on your 42.
“Our first miracle child. We pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and all those who needs a miracle today, will use you as a point of contact for their own in JESUS name. (Amen) love from Dad, Mom and the whole Adeboye dynasty.”
Confirming the sad development, one of the top shots in the RCCG family said: “Shock. Disbelief. Tears. Thanksgiving. Praise. Total submission to the will of God. Pastor Dare’s death is painful, unexpected but who dares question God?”.
Pastor Dare Adeboye was the North Central Youth Evangelist overseeing all the youths, RCF, RCCF and PSF in Niger, Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, and FCT.
Pastor Dare has held previous positions as the Senior Pastor of RCCG House of Praise Birmingham, the Provincial Youth Pastor of RCCG Kaduna Province 1 and RCCG Kaduna Region 8 Youth Pastor.
Also, he has held various posts such as the RCCG Youth Affairs National & International Director of Programs, Chairman Organizing Committee of 70hrs Messiah’s Marathon Praise, National Youth Convention and Northern Zone Abuja RCCG SHIFT programs.
All these positions have allowed him to understand the various dynamics of young people across the globe and how to increase the church’s influence. He has dedicated his life to training and mentoring young people on making the most of their faith anywhere they find themselves.
Meanwhile, neither Pastor Adeboye’s family nor the RCCG has yet to officially announce the sad passage of Pastor Dare.
