As the race for Ekiti 2022 gubernatorial election draws closer, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in the state have been urged to close ranks for a deserved victory come next year.
Kayode Adaramodu, a leading aspirant in the party who has continuously spoken about the need for transformation in Ekiti, stated this during his tour of the local government areas of the state over the weekend.
Adaramodu, who was met by enthusiastic party members promised to meet with the aspirations of the people. The former GM of GTBank and an International Development Consultant, stressed to the people, that he will present his manifestos as soon as electioneering begins.
“I have come to plead with us to bury our grievances for the sake of this party and our people who are suffering under the administration of APC. We must unite to return to power for proper governance of this state”, Adaramodu said
According to him, competent, energetic and vibrant young persons should be given the opportunity to lead the state from next year. “As you are all aware, I have offered myself to provide the leadership that our state deserves to meet the demands of the rapidly changing world from next year.
Let us, as united people, mobilise and ensure we secure the future of our dear Ekiti state from people with selfish agenda”, he charges.
Some local government areas visited are Ise/Orun, Emure, Ijero, and Moba. Others are Ilejemeje, Ido Osi and Ekiti West local government areas.
Speaking on behalf of the PDP members, the Ijero Local government PDP chairman, Oluwole Olayinka thanked Kayode Adaramodu and his team for the visit. He assured him the seeming infighting within the party will soon be a thing of the past.
