Nigerians in UK urged to occupy Buhari’s residence, Embassy

Omoyele Sowore, convener of RevolutionNow Movement on Monday called on Nigerians in the UK to occupy the Nigerian embassy and the residence where President Muhammadu Buhari will be living during his stay abroad.

The Presidency had announced that Buhari will be visiting the UK for two weeks for a medical check-up.

Buhari who departed Abuja on Tuesday is expected to be back in Nigeria around the second week of April 2021.

This is the first time the President will be going on his routine medical check-up since the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, angered by Buhari’s trip, activist, Sowore urged Nigerians in the UK to occupy the hospital and the Embassy, describing his trip as a waste of Nigeria’s resources.

He asked President Buhari to return to Nigeria and use federal hospitals for his medical check-up.

Sowore on his Twitter page wrote; “Nigerians in the UK must occupy the hospital where sickly Buhari is wasting Nigeria’s resources and the Nigeria embassy, as well as Abuja House in London.

“Let Buhari return home and do a medical check in the “world-class” hospital he built since coming to power.

“RevolutionNow has always maintained that President Buhari and his cabinet is unfit to run Nigeria since August 2019.
