Ogoga of lkere kingdom, Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado has lauded the Commercial Motorcyclists Association in the town for providing official uniform for its members.
Speaking during the unveiling of the uniform in his palace at lkere, Oba Adejimi who hinted that he had been working with the association to ensure that the project came into fruition opined that the initiative would further reduce criminal activities in the town.
He appealed to the public not to board or patronise any commercial motorcycle that does not have the uniform as a means of recognition.
He noted that with the initiative criminals who parade as commercial motorcyclists would have no place to hide soon.
The monarch who said he was desirous of security of lives and properties and better standard of living for his people charged the public to cooperate with the association to ensure the success of the project.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the association, Comrade Tunde Asaolu had applauded the monarch for his support for the security of his people.
He noted that the image of the association was almost battered due to the activities of criminals who operate under the guise of commercial motorcyclists.
He said the uniform would be made available to all recognised commercial motorcyclists in the town noting that passengers should henceforth refuse any commercial cyclist without the uniform.
