In what many people will call a Nollywood story, a suspected armed robber died at the hands of Nigerian lawmaker Abdullahi Salame.
The member of the House of Representatives who is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), disclosed that he shot dead a suspected armed robber when he came to attack his residence in Sokoto with his gang members.
The lawmaker who represents Gwadabawa and Illela Federal Constituency said he was attacked by the suspected robbers at his Bado residence in Sokoto metropolis, Premium Times reports.
A member of the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Salame, narrated how he shot dead a suspected armed robber during an attack on his residence in Sokoto.
He said: “All thanks be to Almighty Allah, today at about 3 a.m. I was attacked in my House in Sokoto by Armed Robbers but by Allah’s powers I was able to shot and killed one and injured some. I am gratefull.”
Meanwhile, the police in the state confirmed the news through the state’s spokesperson Muhammad Sadiq.
In another development, It was reported that in a sign of total disrespect to the Nigerian authority some people have engaged in a physical fight at the House of Representatives during a public hearing at Room 028.
The public hearing was on the Petroleum Industry Bill and chaired Hon. Mohammed Monguno on Thursday, January 28.
The fighters are believed to be members of the oil host communities who had come to make presentations on the bill.
