Some Nigerians have been commenting on the action of the Emir.

GbenromAdegbola wrote:

“Another example, if any more was needed of that fact that the people have never been the problem.

The problem’s always been the profiteers and exploiters of differences who can only thrive in an atmosphere of division. The Emir obviously loves his people and the feeling is mutual.”

Lawan Murtala Mohammed wrote:

“This religious sportsmanship and respect for other religion displayed by the Emir of Bauchi show that the northern part of the country will be great again. Kudos to the Emir of Bauchi.”

Anthony Adesua wrote:

“Suddenly I feel this country can overcome her religious divides if leaders like this Emir can multiply.”

Eusebius Philip wrote:

“This should be what is trending on social media too. Harmony and coexistence. What unites us can be stronger than what seems to show it divides us.”

Francis Sardauna wrote:

“The Emir’s simplicity and quest for oneness will enhance unity in Bauchi state.”

Meanwhile, the National Interfaith and Religious Organisations for Peace (NIFROP) has commenced a 21-day prayer and fasting session against the “enemies” of Nigeria.

The prayer and fasting session which kicked off at the Unity Fountain, Abuja, with many clerics in attendance was also aimed at ensuring the success of the Buhari-led administration.

The Grand Patron of NIFROP, Archbishop Dr. Julius Idiwe, said there is an urgent need to pray and fast so that Nigeria can overcome the demonic spirits fighting against the peace and progress of the country.

Similarly, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele has urged Nigerians to be prayerful ahead of the challenges in the new year, saying the first quarter of 2021 would be very tough for Nigeria.

The general-overseer of the Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church stated this while sharing some prophecies concerning the year 2021.
