The new service, which will become an analogue of the popular mobile application TikTok, is called Shorts. It is designed for those who like to record short videos on a smartphone, add music and effects to them and share with their subscribers.
It is noted that beta testing of Shorts will be launched in India, where it was previously decided to block 59 Chinese mobile applications, including TikTok.
“This is an early version of the product, but we are releasing it now to attract you – our global community of users, creators and artists – on our journey to create and improve short films,” it said.
In August, Facebook launched a TikTok-like Reels service on Instagram.
To record a 15-second video, you need to open the camera in the Instagram mobile application, and then select the appropriate function in the panel below.
