Every season of the reality show Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) has always faced its fair share of online criticism, and the lockdown season is no different.
Most recently, Globalgistng saw a video of a Nigerian cleric who expressed his strong reservations about the show, which will still run for the next two months.
The man of God wondered about the state of things in the country and wondered why the BBNaija show was allowed to continue.
According to him, many students were forced to stay at home because of the Coronavirus pandemic, and most of them resorted to spending their time watching reality shows.
He called on the Federal government to do something about a reality show that is still running.
“I am not happy that the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has woken up.
Something must be wrong with this BBNaija things; now is not the time for this,” said the priest.
In another part of the clip, the man of God threatened to use his spiritual powers to destroy the reality show if the government did not heed his call to do something about it.
He said: “If the government does not close BBNaija, I will close them by force. With my spiritual abilities, I can do this.
“In the related BBNaija story, earlier, a report was compiled by a Nigerian who took to social media to criticize house’s first housemate, Kaisha.
A person in a post published on his Twitter page noted that no responsible person from the Northern part of the country would allow their daughter to participate in the show.
His post caused a mixed reaction from Twitter users.
