Employees of the American Corporation Google will continue to work remotely until July 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported on July 27 by the Wall Street Journal.
The decision was made by Google CEO Sundar Pichai after discussions with other representatives of the company’s management. Almost all of the company’s 200,000 employees in India, Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries will continue to work from home.
Some of the employees have already received notifications about extending the terms of remote work. An official announcement is expected on Monday. Previously, the Corporation planned to return employees to their offices in January 2021.
According to experts, the company’s decision will affect other tech giants whose employees are transferred to remote work.
At the same time, Google has already partially opened offices in Australia, Thailand and Greece.
