The line of the Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV of the last generation had an extreme modification of 4×42-with portal axles, large wheels, a seriously redesigned suspension and a monstrous ground clearance of 450 mm.
It seems that a similar option will soon appear in the new family: photo spies have caught the lift G-class with nominal camouflage, which hides only the company logos and nameplates.
Judging by the pictures, the new all-terrain vehicle also has a portal rear axle, and in front of it, like the base Helik of the new generation, it has independent suspension. But the ground clearance and wheels of the black prototype are clearly less than that of the previous g 500 4×42 modification. Significantly smaller and track, as evidenced by at least modest wheel arch extensions against the large extensions of the old model. And the wheel arches do not show double suspension struts. In short, the new prototype does not pull for a full-fledged heir.
Of course, there is no official information about the technology yet, but it is obvious that under the hood of the SUV there will be a biturbovosmerka 4.0 — – the only question is the level of acceleration. For now we can only wait for a full presentation and start of sales: Russian dealers will definitely have such a G-class.
