Since Dr. Kayode Fayemi entered Ekiti politics through the progressive platform in 2005, his political trajectories and predecessors have left no doubt in anyone’s mind, except those who are blind to reason and reality because of their envy-inducing hatred, that he is indeed a political Enigma.
There is somewhat a myth of invincibility built around him ; he hardly lose any battle. Peradventure it happens, subsequent events have always proven that whatever temporary setback witnessed was designed to consolidate his invincibility and Enigmatic Status.
The only noticeable incident of what looked like a setback was his Purported defeat in the 2014 Gubernatorial election, which subsequently became a blessing in disguise.Were he to be declared the winner of the 2014 Gubernatorial election, Kayode Fayemi would have served out his second term of 8 Years in 2018 and he wouldn’t have been opportune to become the Leader of all the Governors in Nigeria and there wouldn’t have been anything in his body language that will suggest, as some claimed, he is a strong contender for the Nigeria Presidency in 2023.
Infact, were he to have his second term of office in 2014, Kayode Fayemi would possibly be in a Political cooler by now. He wouldn’t have been one of the most talked about triumvirate, positively or negatively, in the Nigeria Political firmament today ; President Buhari, APC National Leader Asiwaju Tinubu and Nigeria Governor-General Kayode Fayemi.
Indeed, shattering the myth of Kayode Fayemi’s invincibility is impossible!
After the Action Congress, AC, Gubernatorial Primaries of 2006, about 30 Gubernatorial aspirants ganged up and defected to PDP with the sole aim of Stopping Dr Kayode Fayemi from becoming Ekiti Governor. Many of them were Politically weighty at the time. Principal among them were Dr.Bode Olowoporoku, Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (retd), Chief Paul Alabi, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Dr. Afolabi Popoola, Hon Aderemi Adeyanju (Welu Welu) etc.
At the end of the day, he triumphed. Dr Kayode Fayemi became Ekiti Governor in October,2010.

In the built up to the Ministerial Appointments in 2015, the rebellious Groupings in Ekiti State APC joined forces with the dominant Power and authority in the South West Nigeria, plotting and boasting that Kayode Fayemi would not make the Ministerial List.
At the end of the day, he triumphed. Kayode Fayemi was appointed a Grade A Minister.

Between 2015 to 2016, Several rebellious Groups emerged to Challenge the Legitimacy of the Ekiti APC State executive. The Groups include Bibire coalition/Labour Party returnees led by Hon. Bamidele Opeyemi, Ekiti APC Action group led by Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Ekiti Justice Forum led by Chief Sesan Fatoba, Restoration Group led by Dr. Bayo Orire.
They were all bonded by a common interest that the Ekiti State APC structures, presumably Controlled by Dr Kayode Fayemi, be dissolved ahead of 2018 APC Gubernatorial Primaries.
Rt.Hon.Karounwi Oladapo was the lead defendant of the Party Structures at the various crisis management meetings at the National Headquarters of the APC in Abuja.
At the end of the day, all the groups ate the humble pie and submitted themselves to the supremacy and Legitimacy of the Ekiti State APC Executives. Kayode Fayemi triumphed.
Hence, shattering the myth of Kayode Fayemi’s invincibility became impossible.
In the built up to the APC Gubernatorial Primaries of 2018, virtually all the APC Gubernatorial aspirants, numbering over thirty, saw Dr Kayode Fayemi as a common enemy that must be crushed.
The ganged up was so thick, but couldn’t stop him from scoring the highest votes to become the Candidate of the Party and the eventual Governor of Ekiti State the second time. Kayode Fayemi triumphed.
Hence, Fayemi kept his myth of invincibility from being destroyed
In the build up to Ekiti 2022 APC Gubernatorial Primaries and 2023 Presidency, in their characteristic manner, the external forces, this time from the South West and Abuja, recruited and mobilized the home forces, the Ekiti regular enemies, in a plot to take the Ekiti APC Structures away from Kayode Fayemi through the Court and the immediate installation of a Caretaker Committee, which would have been populated by Fayemi’s opponents, to run the affairs of the Party in Ekiti State.

Caretaker Committee was to be speedily put in place before Dr Kayode Fayemi can approach the Appeal Court for a stay of execution of dissolution order.
The grand plan was to prevent Fayemi from producing his preferred Candidate for Ekiti 2022 Gubernatorial elections and to clip his wings so that he will not be able to fly during the 2023 Presidency.
The process has begun with the Court case instituted in Abuja for the dissolution of the APC Structures in Ekiti State. Before the plans became materialized, Lo and behold, the coup plotters met their Political Waterloo by the dissolution of the APC National Working Committee, NWC and the installation of the National Caretaker committee in their stead, followed by the Presidential and National Executive Committee, NEC, directive for the withdrawal of all Pending cases against the Party in Courts!
The evil plotters inherited what they plotted for Kayode Fayemi and Ekiti APC. Kayode Fayemi triumphed.

Again, the myth of invincibility around Kayode Fayemi was reinvigorated!
Experiences from these unwarranted Political intrigues have toughened Fayemi to the extent that he is always very unruffled, cool, calm and collected whenever the storms are raging. He hardly joins issues with the opponents and detractors but always planning and strategising to overcome and defeat the traducers.
Can all these triumphs and victories by coincidence? Definitely not. They were designed by God. This is not by Kayode Fayemi’s Power but the Grace of God. Kayode is God’s annointed. Fayemi has a date with history and destiny.All should watch out !
