Lagos state government open up on cause of Ajimobi’s death
The government of Lagos made an official statement on the circumstances of the death of Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo state

The Lagos state government has revealed the cause of death of Abiola Ajimobi, a former Governor of Oyo state.

Akin Abayomi, health Commissioner of Lagos state, tweeted on Friday, June 26 that the former Governor died of multiple organ failure after complications from an infection COVID-19.
“We regret the death of the immediate former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajumobi, who passed away today, June 25, 2020, in the first cardiology consultant; private institution #COVID19 approved care in Lagos state.
The former Governor died of multiple organ failure after complications from a #COVID19 infection, ” he tweeted.
Abayomi, on behalf of the Lagos state government, expressed condolences to the family of the former Governor and the people of Oyo state.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode faem, and reported that the former Governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi, had undergone lung surgery before his death.
Ekiti Governor made this statement when reacting to the death of the politician.
Fayemi said that he personally followed developments regarding the former Governor’s health before he passed away.

He said he was aware when news of Ajimobi’s lung operation broke, and was happy when the former Governor showed signs of recovery.
However, the Governor said his hopes were dashed when he heard that Ajimobi had fallen into a coma.

In another news report, the daughter of former Oyo state Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Abisola Kola-Daisi, celebrated her father in 2020 on father’s Day.
She said that Ajimobi taught her so many important things that have become a very important part of her life today. Abisola said she uses today to relive every moment she had with her father.
Abisola also thanked her father for always being there when they needed him. She added that with everything going on, she preferred to be at peace.
Ajimobi’s daughter said she hopes everything she has been praying for is already happening.
