It’s no longer news that Nigerian socialite and Instagram big boy, Ramoni Igbalode, aka Ray Hushpuppi, has been arrested by the FBI in Dubai.

Hushpuppi, known for his lavish lifestyle, was targeted by the FBI on June 10, 2020 in the United Arab Emirates for allegedly being involved in a $35 million (N13.5 billion) lung ventilation Scam.

It is reported that artificial ventilation devices were intended for COVID-19 patients.

In a statement released by Dele Oyewale, a spokesman for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), it was revealed that Hushpuppi is Nigeria’s most wanted hacker.


It was also said that the Commission is working with the FBI to track down victims of the Hushpuppi fraud, as well as other fraudsters in the country who are associated with it.

Read part of the statement below: “Nigerian most wanted hacker Ramoni Igbalode, alias Ray Hushpuppi, recently arrested by international police and the FBI, has significant cases of cybercrime being investigated by the EFCC.

“The Commission is familiar with the gruesome details of its money laundering operations, which involve many high-level cybercriminals facing trial in Nigeria.

“The Commission is working with the FBI to find victims of its fraudulent operations and other fraudsters directly related to it.

Local cybercriminals who have money laundering Networks with him are also under investigation.”
