Two musicians arrested in Lagos on suspicion of fraud

Operatives of the rapid response unit (RRS) of Lagos have arrested two musicians on suspicion of fraud.

Michael Chinonso, 25, an Afro-hip-hop singer, and victory Chimelu, 22, a pianist, were arrested last Wednesday along with five other suspects at their 4 estate, Modupe Young Thomas Estate, Ajah, Lagos residence by the RRS bait team.

The drama occurred during their arrest last week, when the Duo jumped from the first floor of their apartment to the ground naked after seeing the police.

After they were arrested, the Duo admitted that the crime was committed for the third time when they sold an iPhone 11 Pro Max while blocking COVID-19.

The suspects were transferred to the special anti-robbery unit (SARS) for further investigation and prosecution.
