The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad lawan, said on Monday that the pain of Senator Adebayo osinowo’s untimely departure will be felt by his respected colleagues and the National Assembly as a whole.
According to Laban, he received the news of the death of Senator Adebayo Osinovo with shock and sadness.
With Osinowo’s death, the 9th Senate, which was celebrating one year of its inauguration, lost four senators.
Recall that Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu (Imo North) died on December 18, 2019; Senator Ignatius datun Lonjan (Plateau South) died on February 10, 2020; and Senator rose Okoji Oko (Cross River North) died on March 23, 2020.
In a statement issued yesterday by his special media adviser, Ola Awoniyi, lawan expressed his condolences to the family, friends, political associates of Senator osinowo, as well as to the government and people of Lagos state for this loss.
Senator osinowo, who represented the Lagos East senatorial Council until his death, first made his mark in the Lagos state public service, as well as in the Lagos state house of representatives Assembly, where he served four terms before being elected to the Senate.
Lawan said that Osinowo served his country with dignity as an outstanding Senator at the ninth session of the Senate, which just last week marked its first anniversary.
Osinowo was the Chairman of the Committee on industry. Lawan prayed for the sweet repose of his gentle soul, and that God would grant those whom he had left behind the courage to bear their loss.
