Obaseki to pick Accord Party Card as PDP insists on producing his deputy

Edo PDP insistence that Godwin Obaseki can only get their ticket while they produce the deputy, there are indications that the embattled Governor has opted for the relatively Unknown Accord Party.
After a marathon meeting at the Edo Government House which lasted till this afternoon, the Governor has now headed to Abuja to meet with Accord Party officials and conclude plans to fly the party flag in the September polls.
The decision to fly on Accord follows earlier discussions the Governor has with it’s National leadership during his trip to Abuja for the APC screening.
The Accord Party however has conditionally accepted that the Governor who failed the APC screening test can run for election with his own deputy.
One condition is that the Governor should pay the party the sum of N2billion besides the monies he will pay for Expression of interest and Nomination forms.
The other condition is that since Accord Party has no office in Edo, the former State APC office will be immediately converted to its Benin office.

The Accord Party is however not disposed to the Governor “s request that Mr Anselm Ojezua team of Exco transmute into it’s Edo state Exco and have told him that much.
But Governor Obaseki is insisting that since Ojezua has the register of erstwhile party members loyal to the Governor, it will be better that he and his group take over the State chapter.
