South West APC Mourns the deaths of Bamidele Olumilua and S. A. Farinu at 80 and 94 respectively

The Leadership and Members of APC in the South West of Nigeria commiserate with the families of Envangelist Bamidele Olumilua who died in the early hours of yesterday, 4th of June, 2020, in his hometown of Ikere, Ekiti State, at the age of 80 years and Chief S. A. Farinu who equally died at the late hours of yesterday in his hometown of Oyo, Oyo State, at the age of 94 years.
The Party Leadership who spoke through the APC National Vice Chairman, South West, and Chairman of the South West APC Caucus, Pastor Bankole Oluwajana conveyed with heavy heart the feelings of the Party for the loss of the two Yoruba Progressive icons at this time that the Party is still benefitting from their wisdom and experiences. However, the Leadership takes solace in the enviable and indelible services they rendered to the Party and humanity. The legacies of their good deeds will continue to speak for them.
Envangelist Bamidele Olomilua was a Progressive Governor of the Old Ondo State whose records of service reflected the Social democratic ideals of the Social Democratic Political, SDP, in the early 90s. He implemented a number of Policies and Programmes that impacted positively on the weak and vulnerables at the time.
Chief S. A. Farinu was the Oyo State Party Chairman of the defunct Action Congress, AC. He was one of the pillars of the Progressives in the Yoruba land. He struggled and joined forces with other Yoruba leaders to ensure that the Progressive Party, APC, rescued Nigerians from the clutches and stranglehold of the Conservative Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2015.
The two families of the departed heroes should accept the Party’s Condolences.
Signed.
Rt. Hon. ASIWAJU KAROUNWI OLADAPO,
APC Zonal Publicity Secretary,
South West Zone.
