Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin, commenting on the successful docking of the Crew Dragon spacecraft with the International space station, said that the Russian Federation looks forward to further cooperation with the United States in the space sphere.
“I wish the NASA team a successful completion of the reconstruction of its national space transport system,” Rogozin also wrote on his Twitter page.
In addition, the head of Roscosmos asked NASA Director James Bridenstine to convey congratulations to Elon Musk and the SpaceX team.
SpaceX conducted the first ever private manned launch into space on may 30. The launch of the Falcon 9 rocket, which put the Crew Dragon ship into orbit, was carried out from the Cape Canaveral spaceport. On Sunday, the ship successfully docked to the ISS.
It is assumed that astronauts Douglas Harley and Robert Behnken, arriving on the ISS, will become full members of the station’s crew.
