One day, a friend approached the great Philosopher, Socrates and said “Do you know what I heard about your friend”?
Socrates replied, “Before telling me anything, I’d like you to pass a little test called “The Triple Filter Test”
The first filter is TRUTH: Are you absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true? No, the man said, actually, I just heard about it and….
Interrupted by Socrates, “So you don’t really know if it’s true or not? Now let’s proceed to the second filter test.
The Filter of GOODNESS: What you are about to tell me of my friend, is it something good? No, on the contrary…
Socrates finally asked him the third filter test of USEFULNESS: What you are about to tell me, is it useful to me? No, not really, replied the man.
Well, Socrates of course concluded by saying, “If what you want to tell me is neither True, Good nor even Useful; Why do you want to tell me?
Dear friend, please I beg you in GOD’s name, be very careful of what you allow into your mind. The truth of the matter is that, bad news spread fast.
Check the front pages of newspapers and magazines, you will see a clear example of this. Sometimes I wonder what some people aim to achieve by spreading and inflicting people’s mind with bad news.
People have the right to post whatever they want but you and I have the right to DECIDE what we allow into our MIND.
Andrew Carnegie said “The one who acquires the ability to take full possession of his own mind, may take possession of anything else to which he is justly entitled”.
Remember, the state of a man’s mind affects his outward appearance.
