Former People Democratic Party Secretary in Ekiti State, also a Business magnate and political strategist, Dr Temitope Kolawole Aluko (TKO) congratulated the Muslims in Ekiti state and Nigeria on Eid al-Adha celebrations.
In his congratulatory message to the Muslim Ummah in the Central senatorial district of Ekiti state, Temitope Kolawole Aluko urged them not to hesitate about the significance of the just-concluded Holy month of Ramadan.
“It would be first of all a disservice to ourselves, and then to humanity, if we discarded the kindness, sobriety and good spirit that we carried throughout Ramadan.”
“We are, without a doubt, in a dangerous time, and the point is that love and kindness increase according to our capabilities. Therefore, I urge you, my brothers and sisters, to continue to be kind to each other and to be committed to the cause of humanity.
“The essence of peace in our society, state and country cannot be overestimated, especially at a time like this. We already have many opportunities to fight, and we will achieve this in peace and unity,” he said.
Wishing the people a peaceful holiday, he urged them to remain mindful of the guidelines developed by the Nigerian Center for disease control (NCDC) to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
