Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, May 21, during a working meeting via video link with the head of the Krasnodar territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, commented on the possibility of opening sanatoriums and hospitals in the region. The Russian leader called on “not to be hypocritical” and look at the epidemiological situation.
“You don’t have to be intuitive. We need to rely on the real situation, we need to see how the situation will develop, and we need to make appropriate decisions in close contact with specialists in time, but not getting ahead of ourselves, as we have said many times and as you have just said yourself,” Putin replied.
The day before, Rospotrebnadzor prepared recommendations on the organization of work of sanatorium-resort institutions in conditions of continuing risks of COVID-19 distribution. So, you can only accept tourists to health resorts if they have negative tests for coronavirus. They must also confirm that they have no potential contact with infected people within two weeks before the departure date.
Check-in to the rooms of resort institutions must be made strictly one at a time, except for members of the same family and accompanying persons. Catering must be based on the order system or by numbers.
Also, before starting work, the heads of such organizations should take care of cleaning the ventilation, whether all employees have certificates of the absence of coronavirus, and before filling in the number of rooms, calculate the capacity of the beaches to comply with the norms of social distance.
On May 19, Zarina doguzova, the head of the Federal tourism Agency, announced the gradual exit from quarantine in a number of regions of Russia. According to her, the Agency looks at the opening of the summer season “with great optimism”. From June 1, sanatoriums, cottages and apartment hotels will start opening in the country.
On May 12, at an online meeting of Doguzova with the expert community, a plan for a phased exit of the industry from quarantine was adopted, as well as the introduction of tax incentives for the industry; subsidizing interest rates for the construction of tourist infrastructure and travel for socially unprotected groups of citizens; the inclusion of “key players” in the tour industry in the list of key enterprises; the development of tourist offers in the regions of Russia.
