The largest part of Moscow residents with a confirmed COVID-19 are people under 45 years of age. This was reported on Thursday, May 14, in the operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus in Moscow.
According to him, 4712 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the capital over the past day. A total of 130,716 infected people have been registered in Moscow so far.
“42.3% of the new cases are between the ages of 18 and 45, 35.7% are from 46 to 65, 9% are from 66 to 79, and 6% are over 80. Also, 7% of the cases are children. All patients, as well as those who were in close contact with them, are already under medical supervision,” the operstab said in a statement.
On the same day, Deputy mayor Anastasia Rakova said that in Moscow, 1,821 people were cured of a coronavirus infection during the day.
Since March 29, the city has been on high alert, assuming mandatory self-isolation of citizens. The regime is extended until May 31.
