The state program “Affordable rent”, aimed at maintaining demand for cars, will come into force in June across Russia. About this on Tuesday, May 5, with reference to the head of the Ministry of industry and trade Denis Manturov.
“By the end of may, we must issue the rules and start working on this program in June. It will be immediately all over the country, ” the Minister said.
At the end of April, Deputy head of the Ministry of industry and trade Alexander Morozov noted that the “Affordable rent” program will be implemented by banks and leasing companies; the lease mechanism and rate are under development. 2.5 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the program.
According to the Deputy Minister, one of the implementation options is the creation of a large leasing company or Bank in the region of a fleet of cars that can satisfy any request of the client, so that he can take the car for use for the desired period. At the same time, it is noted that the cars will be registered, serviced and maintained on the balance sheet of leasing companies or banks that have expressed a desire to participate in the project.
According to him, the priority issue is the size of the available rental rate, since, on the one hand, the operation of the rental mechanism should be prompt and without failures, and on the other hand, the rate should be low.
On April 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting on the development of the automotive industry, proposed a number of measures that should help the industry in a crisis period. These measures include additional government purchases of transport from car manufacturers, as well as support for preferential leasing and car lending programs. According to the head of state, it is the automobile industry that can become one of the pillars for the recovery of the entire economy.
