The number of occupied hospital beds has increased by 50% in Moscow, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the number of occupied beds in the capital’s hospitals increased by 50% compared to last week.
“We see that the number of occupied hospital beds has increased by 50% over the past week,” he said in an interview with Naila Asker-zade on the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Saturday, May 2.
Also in an interview,mayor Sobyanin said that all the money received from fines for violating the self-isolation regime in Moscow will be used to fight the coronavirus, including the purchase of medicines.
The day before, it was reported that more than 77 billion rubles were allocated to support healthcare in Moscow, including the construction and re-profiling of hospitals for infected people, as well as measures to prevent and support medical workers, etc.
