Seven Russian airlines have received permission to transport cargo in the passenger aircraft cabin. This is stated in a message published on April 23 on the website of the Federal air transport Agency.

“In accordance with the established procedure, the permission of the Federal air transport Agency to perform cargo transportation in the passenger cabin with a special permit in the operational specifications for aircraft was received.

This are the following airlines:

PJSC Aeroflot-Russian airlines;

JSC Ural airlines;

LLC Severny Veter;

JSC Rossiya Airlines;

AZUR air LLC;

LLC Icarus Airline;

JSC ROYAL FLIGHT Airline.

This measure was taken in connection with a decrease in demand for passenger air transport due to the coronavirus. Cargo transportation is carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the aircraft manufacturer on weight, cargo location, fire safety and aircraft alignment.
