Mishustin signs a decree on the allocation of 50 billion rubles for payments to doctors

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Monday, April 13, said that he signed a decree on the allocation of 50 billion rubles for additional payments to doctors.

“We now urgently need to support medical workers who, at the risk of their health and lives, help patients with coronavirus,” Mishustin was quoted as saying by TASS during his meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers.


In addition, another 640 million rubles will be spent on equipping hospital beds in single-industry towns to receive patients with COVID-19.


At the same time, other patients will also receive treatment, the head of government assured. Patients whose hospitalization is not related to the coronavirus will be transferred to other medical institutions. The Ministry of health and regional governors will monitor the provision of medical care to such citizens.

Also Mishustin signed the order about transfer to the regions the number of beds in Federal hospitals. The document defines the medical institutions that will treat patients with COVID-19. The Ministry of health will monitor the use of the bed Fund in the regions of the Russian Federation.


The funds are allocated in accordance with the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the address to citizens before the meeting with the governors on April 8, the head of state announced additional payments to medical staff for special working conditions and increased workload.

So, from April for three months, specialists working with patients with coronavirus will receive a special Federal payment every month: doctors — 80 thousand rubles, paramedics and nurses — 50 thousand rubles, Junior medical staff — 25 thousand rubles, emergency doctors — 50 thousand rubles, and paramedics, nurses and drivers — 25 thousand rubles. They will also be provided with increased insurance guarantees at the expense of the Federal budget, similar to the military.
