Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, April 10, said that new contacts with his American counterpart Donald trump are still ahead.
In particular, the Russian leader said that he was ready to discuss current international issues with trump: cooperation in the fight against coronavirus, the situation on world markets and cooperation in space exploration.
“We are glad that our specialists are successfully working on the ISS program with colleagues from the United States, one of the leading space powers. This is a clear example of effective partnership between our countries in the interests of all mankind. Just as we are trying to cooperate in solving urgent problems, I mean the fight against the pandemic, the situation on world markets,” Putin said.
The President added that after talking with the leaders of the United States and Saudi Arabia, he plans new negotiations with partners on the topic of oil prices.
On the eve of April 9, Putin held telephone talks with trump and king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud. The parties discussed the state of Affairs in the oil markets, including taking into account the negotiations in the framework of an extraordinary Ministerial meeting in the OPEC+format.
Trump, for his part, also said that he had a “good conversation” with Putin and al Saud.
