American actor, known for his role in the film “the Ninth gate” Allen Garfield died of coronavirus at the age of 80 years. This was announced by his colleague Roni Blakely on his Facebook page on Wednesday, April 8.
Garfield died in a hospital in California on Tuesday, April 7. His death was also confirmed by his sister Lois Hurwitz in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter.
During his career, he participated in more than 100 films and television shows. He played in films of such Directors as Roman Polanski (“the Ninth gate”), woody Allen (“Bananas”), Francis Coppola (“the cotton Club”, “the Conversation”).
As of April 8, more than 14 thousand people have died from this infection in the United States for the entire time of the spread of the coronavirus. At the same time, there were 425,469 cases, and 22,202 patients recovered.
