Chief doctor of the Moscow infectious diseases hospital in Kommunarka (GKB # 40) Denis Protsenko told about his surprise at the age of patients who have severe COVID-19 disease. On Saturday, April 4, he told about it in the program “Epidemic with Anton Krasovsky” on RT TV channel.

So, according to the Moscow operstab for April 4, almost half of new people infected with coronavirus infection are younger than 45 years old. Out of 443 cases, 210 people aged 18 to 45 years old were infected. At the same time, 143 patients from 46 to 65 years of age and another 67 infected over 65 years of age, 15 of them over 80 years of age. The coronavirus was also confirmed in 14 children.

On April 1, the Moscow city Duma approved a law on the introduction of administrative fines for violation of the high-alert regime by citizens. The next day, the law was signed by Sergei Sobyanin.


As of April 4, 4731 cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in Russia, 582 of them in the last 24 hours. 333 people were cured. 43 patients died. The majority of infected people (443) were detected in Moscow.
