Two people cannot be found after a gas explosion in a residential building in Orekhovo-Zuyev. This was reported by the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov to the residents of the affected house.
“We have not yet identified two people from the second entrance and two from the fourth, “Interfax quoted the Governor as saying.
Presumably, it will take about six hours to sort out the rubble at the scene of the emergency, believes Vorobyov. It was also decided to strengthen the group of rescuers, now 249 people and 54 units of equipment are working on the site. In parallel, a roll call is held among residents.
The Governor assured that the victims will be provided with everything necessary, the authorities will provide material assistance and ensure compliance with the self-isolation regime. A total of 200 residents were evacuated, and they were temporarily placed in a nearby school. At the moment, we are working on options for placing people in hotels.
“In the next day or two, the house will be examined and it will be impossible to live there. But tonight we will try to make sure that people can get into apartments, take their medicines, things — everything they need. The first two entrances will definitely be closed, ” Vorobyov added.
The incident occurred on April 4 in a five-story building at 31 Gagarin street. In an apartment in the second entrance of the house on the third floor, a gas pump exploded. According to the latest data, one person was killed. Five people were injured, three of them are in serious condition, and they are being transported to the Moscow regional research clinical Institute named after M. F. Vladimirsky (MONIKI).
As a result of the incident, the ceilings of the entrance from the 5th to the 1st floor collapsed, four apartments were completely destroyed. Previously, among the causes of the accident are called a technical malfunction and incorrect operation of gas equipment.
