These measures should contribute to social stability in the country

Mikhail Shmakov, Chairman of the Federation of independent trade unions of Russia, made a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers to conduct a large-scale nationalization in the country against the background of the economic crisis.
He sent a corresponding proposal to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
“Falling stock prices and economic problems can lead to an increase in speculative deals to take over businesses. In this regard, the Russian government needs to develop a mechanism for the nationalization of enterprises that are important for the Russian economy and ensuring social stability,” – said in a statement, which quotes ria of news.
According to Shmakov, the authorities also need to exempt companies whose work is limited by measures to combat the coronavirus epidemic from taxes, consider reducing VAT, abolishing the 13% tax on income of individuals with a salary at the minimum wage and below, and, on the contrary, increase the tax rate on excess income.
In addition, the proposal sent to the government proposes to introduce a one-year moratorium on the reprivatisation of nationalized enterprises in Russia.
