Total restrictions on the movement of people has created difficulty in the introduction of the planting season. This was reported to Kommersant by Andrey Sizov, Director of the SovEcon analytical center specializing in agricultural markets.
According to Sizov, agricultural producers are currently facing great difficulties in obtaining work permits for their employees, farmers have problems with passes for equipment. In addition, due to the mass transfer of Bank employees to the remote mode of operation of the farmers it has become difficult to obtain short-term loans.
The expert noted that the format of passes changes almost every two days. Because of this, huge resources of enterprises are diverted to getting more and more documents. “In fact, as a result of the actions of the authorities in the southern regions, the country’s food supply is being called into question,” the newspaper quotes him as saying.
In turn, the Ministry of agriculture said that in accordance with the explanation of the Ministry of labor, employees of agricultural enterprises should work normally, performing work depending on weather conditions.
