Russian Ministry of education did not exclude students from studying in the summer

The Ministry of education of Russia did not rule out that students will have to study in the summer because of the situation with the coronavirus. However, the Agency sets a task to complete the school year in due time. This was announced on Friday, April 3, by Deputy head of the Ministry Dmitry Glushko during the online marathon “Home hour”.

“Everything will depend on how the situation will develop with the promotion of this infection,” the Deputy Minister said.

He also stressed that the development of the situation will depend on how the country’s residents will follow the measures introduced.

“We strive to make sure that we do not have to study in the summer: neither at the beginning of the summer, nor earlier to start the next school year,” he concluded.

On March 27, the Ministry of education decided to postpone the use from may 25 to June 8. The start date of the main state exam (OGE) for ninth graders has also been postponed to June 9.

The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes COVID-19 disease, began at the end of December last year. The focus of infection was the Chinese city of Wuhan. In a few months, the disease has spread to more than 190 countries around the world.
