Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that today’s meeting of Vladimir Putin with members of the government will be held in a remote format. The President, according tohim, will be at his residence in Novo-Ogarevo and will contact the Ministers via videoconference. Communication, Peskov said, will be organized through secure channels: “Thank God, we have such technical capabilities.”
After the meeting, which will be broadcast directly on Russia 24 TV channel, Putin will have another private event, and it will also be held remotely.
Peskov did not specify whether the switch to removal was due to the fact that the chief doctor of the hospital in Kommunarka, Denis Protsenko, who was recently contacted by Vladimir Putin, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova and other officials, was found to have a coronavirus.
However, Peskov stressed that “everyone who was in Kommunarka with the President” is tested daily for coronavirus.
“We take precautions and try to do everything remotely as much as possible,” he said, noting that he also takes tests for COVID- 19 every day.
When asked where exactly he is now, the press Secretary admitted that he works in the office.
Peskov said that the Kremlin wishes Denis Protsenko a speedy recovery.
